This collage is about body image and how it is something that has been created by society, the standards. The standards that are a lies and should just be covered up because there shouldn't be a right or wrong body type. However your body is, the shape, size, height, it is not to be looked up or down to. 

I created this collage at The Museum of Contemporary Art SD, we were given a bunch of supplies to create a first draft zine page for our social issue. 

This has helped me in my process of learning for my topic because it helped me visualize what was actually happening in my issue. I started noticing the pictures in the magazines and what type of people they selected to publish about. I saw how it was one sided, everyone looked them same, the captions about certain looks and standards. This activity helped me just notice things I didn't before because I was actually aware of it, I was looking to find that when it has actually always been there.
